Be it resolved that the Archdiocese intensify its efforts at developing programmes for the promotion of vocations to the priesthood and religious life, certain that Jesus is still calling men to the Priesthood and Permanent Diaconate and women and men to Consecrated Religious Life.

Be it resolved that, as part of the Church’s pastoral initiatives for vocations, a Secretariat be established with full-time personnel to ensure that vocations promotion and ministry are effectively pursued.

Be it resolved that the promotion of vocations to the priesthood, consecrated religious and single life and Catholic family life in marriage, be actively encouraged in every parish, school and family.

Be it resolved that greater efforts be made at all levels of the local Church to financially and otherwise promote and support the Regional Seminary of St. John Vianney and the Uganda Martyrs as a cradle of priestly and theological formation for our Archdiocese.

Be it resolved that all Parishes invest in vocations ministry and provide avenues, especially to the youth to discover and act upon God’s call to them as missionary disciples in the priesthood and religious life.

Be it resolved that the Church find ways of sensitizing its members regarding the care for all priests – as the spiritual fathers of the community – especially diocesan priests and those who live away from their communities; and that every effort be made to ensure adequate provision of health care, housing and support is available.
